A place for stories.

This is simply a place where I can share all the ideas I print out of my head with anyone who’s willing to read, while keeping up with the craft of writing. I would love for everyone to join me, whatever way you wish and with plenty of thoughts and questions.

GHOULS
I have always loved horror stories, even the old campy movies where the murderer somehow strolls through a plate glass window. Ghouls is my own version of a “70’s classic”. Something you can read when the leaves are crisp and the pumpkins are out.
In this story, we follow the caretaker of the old house on the hill. A building built as a prison for the creatures trapped inside. Her job is to keep them fed, keep them in, but when a boy is dropped off at the gate one evening the season that she thought would be familiar turns sour.
She was shown how to keep the cages locked but not how to get the Ghouls back in.
UNTITLED: A NOVEL
Reggie is alone.
This is a compilation of someone’s life through the eyes of another person. A person who only knew them for about a year.
This is what happens when you blur the line between fascination and love, and how muddled it can make one’s life.
This is her side of Ian’s story.
Untitled is a story I started years ago, right when I was in the thick of one of the hardest times in my own life. If ever there was a book I’ve written that really helped me to cope, it would be this one. I don’t recall deciding on what it would specifically be about and it’s not a true reflection of my own situation at the time, but it was definitely cleansing. A release, as Reggie Chapman would say.
TWO HOUSES
Houses can always be more than what they seem, but what happens when you’re the only one who notices? Claudia fights her way through the fog of traumas past only to find new dangers ahead, experiences that leave more questions than answers, and someone who looks like her mother but acts in no way familiar.
Is she crazy or is there actually something coming from those woods?
This is the story of three women - a mother and her two daughters - and what happens when they move to new opportunities in the country.
Short Stories
Candlelight
This is a story I originally wrote for a competition. I had always wanted to write something small that reminded me of short scary stories that I’d read or that were told to me when I was a kid, either by uncles or my older brothers. I think my writing journey all started with making up horror stories in the dark.
While You’re Waiting…
This is where you can find short stories based on some of the ideas I’ve compiled over the years. I never know for certain what they’ll be about but hopefully they will help me keep the gears turning.
Scribbles is all about the emotion and is a section for coping, cleaning house, and really thinking through things in life. I’ll usually add my thoughts on the pieces here as well, just in case anyone gets curious about the why.
